Since 1991 the INFN group at Parma U has been organizing the ''Seminario Nazionale di Fisica Teorica'' (SNFT), a national school for graduate students in Theoretical Particle Physics. In 2006 the school opened to international scholars from all countries and became the Parma International School of Theoretical Physics (PISTP). SNFT/PIPST is supported by INFN and Parma U. Check out the SNFT/PIPST Archive.
Since 1996, the INFN group has been organizing yearly the ''Convegno di Fisica Statistica e Sistemi Complessi” , a conference gathering together the national community in this field. The conference has always been an opportunity for discussion among younger researchers, who start their career in this discipline, consolidating a scientific network dynamically evolving over time. In the past years with more than 100 participants from Italy and abroad, the Conference has involved many INFN groups. Despite the national character, the initiative has attracted international guests with the aim of stimulating advanced training, discussion and research towards emerging topics in the field. Check out past and future events here.
The INFN group runs an active short-term visitors programme and frequently organizes Theoretical Physics seminars. See the archive of past events. If you are interested in visting the group and giving a talk, please write us.
